NATURE STUDIO (5th-6th Grade)
Thursday, May 2, 2024
4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Spend an afternoon at the Nature Center to channel your creativity in a fun and meaningful way. We will relax and unwind with the beautiful medium of paint designed for any level of artist, we will capture various blooms while socializing and enjoying a treat. Rye Nature Center will provide the supplies. Drop off program. Pre-registration required.
$25/child

THE TINY WORLD AROUND US with Henry Myers

7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
The often-overlooked miniature world of insects and other creepy crawlies will leave you in awe…and maybe a little grossed out…OK definitely a little grossed out, but in a good way. Henry Myers will present different tools and techniques for observing these amazing animals while looking at some macro images and hearing the stories behind them.

HIKE AND SEEK
Friday, May 10, 2024
4:00 - 5:30 p.m.
Join the FRNC team as we play a large group session of hide and seek in the RNC forest. Children will be assigned a team and work together to both hide and seek the other group. Drop off program. Pre-registration required. $15/child.

FAMILY CAMP OUT
Saturday, May 18 - Sunday, May 19
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
Campfire stories, roasting marshmallow, and falling asleep under the stars at your favorite Nature Center. This is the perfect way to introduce your family to the joys of the outdoors while there is still a Starbucks five minutes down the road. Bring your own tent, or borrow one of ours (supplies limited) price includes dinner, breakfast, and a guided hike. This event is for members only. Limited space. Advanced registration required. Suggested for ages 5 and up. $50/person.
